Advocacy:

The Cultural Council of Santa Cruz County is an advocate for support of the Arts as a civic investment, using sustainable public and private funding sources, supportive public policies, and accessible arts facilities.

ArtWORKS - an Art & Business Award

In conjunction with its 30th Anniversary celebration, the Arts Commission recognized the importance of the partnership between businesses and the arts by opening nominations for the new ArtWORKS: art and business awards honoring exemplary businesses and professional individuals whose outstanding advocacy, financial or in-kind support, services, promotions or endorsements have made a significant impact on the arts in Santa Cruz. The awards were presented on October 17, 2007, at the Commission’s 30th Anniversary Celebration event at the Museum of Art and History in downtown Santa Cruz.
