Irvine Cultural Enhancement Grant (ICE)
  1. Must be headquartered in Santa Cruz County, produce art work and cultural events within Santa Cruz County and accessible and promoted to the public.
  2. Be a not-for-profit and/or cultural organization
    (501c3 status is not required)2.
  3. Have a history of arts and/or cultural programming3.
  4. Have completed reporting requirements for any previously funded CCSCC grants
  5. Present a festival proposal which clearly represents ethnic-specific arts and/or culture and will take place in Santa Cruz County between February 1, 2006 and October 31, 2006.
  6. Present a festival proposal with a minimum of three hours of arts programming.

2 Organizations do not need to be incorporated or established as tax-exempt institutions. However, they must be "non-profit" in spirit and be able to supply an Employer Identification Number or a Social Security Number. The organization's Employer Identification Number (EIN) is necessary to help the Cultural Council ensure awards will be granted in the name of the organization. You can apply to the Internal Revenue Service for an EIN online or by phone (1-800-829-3676). You may also receive an EIN within five days by faxing a completed Form SS-4 Application directly to the IRS at 1-801-620-7115. Contact the Grants Coordinator for more information.

3 New organizations are eligible. However, priority will be given to existing organizations with ongoing programming.
