Why Your Donation to the Cultural Council is Important

Founded in 1979, the Cultural Council is a non-profit public benefit organization that provides leadership and resources for promoting the arts in Santa Cruz County. We encourage public policies that support art as a civic investment, including plentiful and affordable performance or exhibition venues and studio spaces.

We seek out and develop partnerships with local, state, and national agencies and organizations to provide opportunities to local artists and arts organizations that assist them in growing, reaching out to the community, and achieving the highest level of technical and professional excellence of which they are capable.

We provide programs and services that maintain a place for art in our schools, give voice to individual artistic viewpoints, celebrate the expression of our many cultures, and provide places for people to share a common artistic experience.

Santa Cruz County is vibrant and multi-cultural, with a wealth of talented artists, performers, and arts educators. Your donation supports our cultural life, keeping it vital, adding to the economic health of our community, and laying a strong foundation for future generations of artists and art lovers. Send your check (made out to the Cultural Council) to 2400 Chanticleer Avenue, Suite G, Santa Cruz, CA 95062. If you'd like to make your donation to a specific program (SPECTRA, Open Studios Art Tour), please note it on the memo line.

To donate via the internet, click on the "Make a Donation" on the left to make a donation via PayPal - no PayPal account is required.

Many companies have automatic deduction plans. Please contact your Human Resources or Accounting department.
