Meals donated through The Rolling Stones Tour and Musically Fed
Musically Fed, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating hunger and reducing food waste, donated and delivered to Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County (CCSCC) all unused meals courtesy of the Rolling Stones’ Hackney Diamonds ’24 Tour concert at Levi’s Stadium.
On July 17th, the iconic Rolling Stones performed at Levi’s Stadium as part of their highly anticipated Hackney Diamonds ’24 Tour. In partnership with Musically Fed, the concert will not only be a musical extravaganza but also an event that gives back to the community. The donated food was delivered the day after the concert to CCSCC’s John XXIII location which serves the unhoused, seniors, formerly incarcerated and veterans in San Jose.
As part of Musically Fed’s ongoing mission to combat hunger, all surplus meals prepared for the concert will be collected and delivered to ensure that no food goes to waste and that those in need receive nutritious meals.
“We are thankful to Musically Fed and the Rolling Stones in making a positive impact in our community,” said Gregory Kepferle, CEO of Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County. “With the increase of food cost, high rents and Pandemic funding depleted, this donation will help us provide additional meals to those who need them most, ensuring that the excitement of the concert extends beyond the stadium.”
Musically Fed’s founder, Maria Brunner, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “Our goal is to turn the excitement of live music events into an opportunity to fight hunger. By donating to organizations like CCSCC, we can ensure that the excess from these events benefits the local community in a meaningful way.”
