Don Taylor Appointed New CEO to succeed Gregory Kepferle

Don Taylor

We are pleased to announce that the CEO Search Committee of the Board of Directors has selected Don Taylor as the new CEO of Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County. Don will succeed our current CEO, Gregory Kepferle, who is retiring at the beginning of January. Effective December 2, 2024, Don will officially step into the role of Chief Executive Officer, following his appointment by Catholic Charities’ Board Chair, Bishop Oscar Cantú. As CEO, Don will become a member of the CCSCC Board and President of Charities Housing.

Don’s background as the Bay Area Regional Executive Director of Pacific Clinics, combined with his credentials as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and decades of experience in behavioral health and social services, makes him uniquely qualified for this role. His business acumen, financial oversight capabilities, and experience in change management and culture-building will serve our organization well.

Don shared his enthusiasm for his new role, stating, “I am excited and honored to join the Catholic Charities team. As a longstanding nonprofit leader in this area, I have always admired Catholic Charities’ mission and their broad scope of services that impact so many lives. I look forward to working together with a spirit of joy, a mindset of social justice, and a commitment to community.”
